Some of the most creative people I know don't call themselves artists. They run record shops, cook for their neighborhoods, write, dance, travel, and build spaces where people feel welcome.
I'm drawn to the artistry in everyday life and to the stories behind the people who bring ideas, spaces, and communities to life. Those stories often go unnoticed, and I want to change that.
Every community has its own creative pulse.
In the coming months, this journal will make room for spotlights on independent creatives and local businesses: the people and places that give a community its character.
If you know someone whose work deserves to be seen, I'd love to hear about them.
